Faye Hooks

Funeral services for Faye Hooks, 83, of Pelham will be held Monday, February 2, 2026 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Hall will officiate and interment will be at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake Hooks, Kyle Hooks, James Jones, Ryan Carter, Bruce Turner, Bill Hester and the late Rusty Carter. Born February 8, 1942 in Cairo she was the daughter of the late James Fred and Esther Thursby Thomas. Mrs. Hooks passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at Archbold Hospital. She worked with the Grady County Family and Childrens Services and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Cairo and member of the Lady Bugs Club. She is survived by her son, Freddy Hooks ( Cheryl) of Camilla; three grandchildren, Jake Hooks (Jeri) of Camilla; Kyle Hooks (Savannah) of Midland; Adrienne Jones (James) of Camilla; great grandchildren, Mallie Kate Hooks, Hattie Hooks, Hagan Hooks and Ward Jones; and two sisters, Belinda Chason (Dale) of Thomasville and Laverne Turner (Sydney) of Cairo and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Paul Hooks. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stitches of Mitchell County or Thomasville Humane Society.
