Bertha M Mims

Funeral services for Bertha M. Mims, 89, of Pelham, will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home, Pastor Jean Watson will officiate. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Meigs Sunset Cemetery.  Mrs. Mims passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.  Born August 8, 1932 in Mitchell County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Ivey and Catherine Amanda Pate Loyd.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Leary, GA.  She worked as a bookkeeper and in sales for D & D Hardware, Leary, GA.  She is survived by her children, Mike Mims (Jan) of Redding, CA; Steve Mims of Leary, GA; Lynn Aldridge (Ken) of Pelham, GA; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandaughter, one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.
