Funeral services for Bob Joe Bettison, 79, of Pelham, will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Willis-Jamerson Funeral Home, Pelham, GA, with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Rev. Doug Hall will officiate and Jeffrey Bettison will assist.  Born July 9, 1939 in Hopeful, GA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Dollie Trammell Bettison.  Mr. Bettison passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bettison was self-employed and the owner of Bettison’s Grocery for 54 years. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Bettison is survived by his children Sue Bettison (Leon) of Pelham, Larry Bettison (Theresa) of Morris, GA, Patti Shiver (Stacey) of Camilla, GA, Jeffrey Bettison (Brad) of Bumpass, VA. Grandchildren Hannah Everson, Lashelle Cochran, Autumn Manriquez, Kristen Bettison, Brandon Shiver, and Michael Futch. Great Grandchildren Caleb Harper, Weston Harper, Jaise Cochran, Rylie Everson, Carsyn Cochran, Jaxon Everson, Sawyer Shiver, Kaiden Futch, and Kohan Futch, Sister Sherri Tyson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Peggy Womble Bettison, grandson, Landon Everson, and a sister Betty Gardner. Pallbearers will be Michael Bradley Futch, Brandon Shiver, Travis Kirkland, Eric Kirkland, Stan Womble and Scott Long.  Honorary pallbearers will be John May, Melvin Thomas, Mike Gardner and Jeff Monez. The family will receive friends Monday, October 8, 2018 from 5–8 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.
