Christine Ruffin

Mrs. Christine Ruffin, 91, of Pelham, passed away October 7, 2017 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00AM at Macedonia Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Billy Majors will officiate.  Born February 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alan Jackson Barfield and Hattie Lou Spence Barfield.  She was married to the late Horace Levester Ruffin.  Mrs. Ruffin was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and worked as a Spinner at Coats and Clark in Pelham. She is survived by her son, Gary Levester Ruffin (Vickie) of Thomasville; granddaughter Rhianna Daughtry (Dusty) of Pelham; great-grandchildren Austin Williams, Taylor Williams, Daniel Williams, all of Cairo; step grandson Wyatt Revels of Albany; step granddaughter Courtney Bivens Revels of Albany; great-great granddaughter Rielle Willis of Cairo; brother Roger Barfield (Jayne) of Pelham; sisters Frances Odom of Pelham, Shirley Bishop (A.L.) of O’steen, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Alan and Hattie Barfield; husband Horace Levester Ruffin; sisters Iris Marie Gibson and Myrtle Law; brothers Tony Barfield, Albert “Buddy” Barfield and Bobby Barfield; and a brother-in-law Steve Odom.
