David George Waters of Pelham, Georgia died peacefully, listening to his Syracuse Orange, September 20, 2025 at the age of 65 in Thomasville, Georgia. David was born December 21, 1959, in Oneida, New York, to Donald and June (Watkins) Waters. He attended Morrisville-Eaton schools. David was always busy with his hands and had a natural ability when it came to electronics and mechanics. As a young person, he spent hours fixing cars, radios and more. He was known as the Citgo Kid around Central New York and had many friends in the CB radio world! David lived and worked as a mechanic, security guard, well driller and more in New York, Texas, North Carolina and Georgia. His last job was at Do It Best Hardware in Pelham. He was an avid reader of the news and followed national and world politics wherever he lived. David is survived by siblings Paulette (Bob) Holbert of The Villages, Florida, Chuck (Trish) Waters of Oswego, New York, Kayaudra Ioerger of Milliken, Colorado, Brian (Mary) Waters of Morrisville, New York and Craig Waters of Morrisville, New York. He is also survived by his aunt, Dorothy Warner of Sherrill, New York, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Don and June Waters, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to thank all the Hospice workers in Pelham and Thomasville, especially his favorite, Gloria! We also wish to thank Harold Smith, Donnie Palmer, Tony Hoover and Juan Rondon for their kindness and care given through David’s illness. Camp Crosspoint (3574 Spence Rd in Pelham) will host a gathering for family and friends on Sunday, October 5, 2-5pm. Interment will be in Eaton Cemetery, Eaton, New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to the Eaton Cemetery Association, Box 185, Eaton, NY 13334, Gentiva Hospice, 432 E Shotwell St, Bainbridge, GA 39819 or Archibald Hospice, 915 Gordon Ave, Thomasville, GA, 31792.
