Funeral services for Delmar Othell Bass, 95, of Pelham, will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with a private interment at Macedonia Church Cemetery. Rev. Lowell Layman will officiate. Born October 3, 1920 in Grady County, he was the son of the late Lonnie David Bass and Beatrice Irene Fulford. Mr. Bass passed away at Mitchell Convalescent Center in Camilla on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Mr. Bass served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Dale Bass Mixon (Wayne) of Arkansas; sons Jimmy Bass Kelly (Ann) of Warner Robins and Johnny Bass Kelly of Albany; sister Helen Bass Wills of Thomasville; a very special nephew Vonnie Leo Bass, Jr. and Virginia Bass of Pelham; stepson Carl Weaver(Margaret); along with other numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie David Bass and Beatrice Irene Fulford Bass; wife Gladys McLendon Bass; brothers Vonnie Leo Bass, Sr., Acie Bass, P. L. Bass, Aaron Bass, sisters Christine Bass Willis, Flora Bass Walters and Blanford Bass McKenzie.
