Doris P. Edmisten

Funeral services for Doris P. Edmisten, 81, of Pelham will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born December 1, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Odell Byrd Parramore and Vonice Pearl Hurst. Mrs. Edmisten passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was married to Bill Edmisten for 33 years. Mrs. Edmisten was a member of Meigs Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Keith Norman, Mike Little, Durrel Cox, Will Norman, Wes Daniel, and Brandon Cox. Survivors include her Husband, William H. Edmisten, Jr. of Pelham; a daughter, Deborah K. Carter(Glen) of Missouri; son, William K. Dawson(Kathy) of Pelham; grandchildren, Kimberly Hartley, Kyle Dawson, Karly Dawson; great grandchildren, Julia and Kaytlen Hartley; and a sister, Margaret Williams(Wayne) of Pelham. sister-in-law, Linda Parramore of Utah and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, William R. Parramore II and Odell Byrd Parramore, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7PM.
