Funeral services for Ernest Jacobs, 85, will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Olen Cain will officiate and interment will be at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers Robbie Jacobs, Lee Jacobs, Levi Jacobs, John Michael Jacobs, Jr., Buck Eidson and Ashley Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleve Payne, Idus Williams and Ed Harrison. Born November 16, 1936 in Thomas County he was the son of the late Robert Lee, Sr. and Lola Barron Jacobs. Mr Jacobs passed away January 8, 2022 in Pelham. He was a retired farmer and member at Midway Baptist Church. He was married to Peggy Dawson Jacobs of Meigs for 60 years who survives. Other survivors include his children, Donna Hawley (William) of Pelham; Rebecca Rosen of Tacoma, WA; Cindy Johnson (David) of Fernandina Beach, Fl.; grandchildren, Eric Hawley, Daniel Hawley, Lance Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Maxwell Rosen; eight great grandchildren and a sister, Barbara Ann Delk. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Andrew Ernest Jacobs, Sister, Nora Phillips and Brother, Robert Lee Jacobs, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday an hour prior to the service.
