Edwin E. Baker, 85, of Sale City, GA passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his residence. Born on March 10, 1928 in Colquitt Co., GA to the late Dan J. and Lennie Omar King Baker, he was a farmer and a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Betty Glenn Baker of Sale City, GA, son John E. Baker and wife, Cathy, of Sale City, GA, brother Jack Baker and wife, Florence, of Sale City, GA, grandchildren Kayla Baker Boone and husband, Zach, of Sale City, GA, Rachel Baker Wilkerson and husband, Aaron, of Macon, GA, Keith Baker and wife, Carla, of Moultrie, GA, Melissa Gossett and husband, Clay, of Pelham, GA, Allison Harrell of Tampa, FL, Russ Joiner and wife, Heather, of Moultrie, GA, Angie Joiner of Mitchell Co., GA, great grandchildren Kaleb and Kohnor Baker, Lacy, Kasey and John Gossett, Caleb Joiner, Miranda and Andrew Joiner, Chip Jackson, Denver Smith Coots, great great grandchild Jerzie Coots, stepchildren Lee Glenn of Hinsonton, GA, Chipper Glenn and wife, Linda, of Tifton, GA, Susan Glenn of Panama City, FL, Kris Denney and husband, Jeff, of Warner Robins, GA, J. C. Denney and wife, Alicia, of Tennesee, step grandchildren Lawrence and Anderson Glenn, Sonny Glenn and wife, Caroline, Glenn Denney, Sailor, Tuff and Truk Denney, step great grandchildren Garrison, Jackson, Hutson and Chason Glenn, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Estelle G. Baker, daughter Sue Baker Harrell, parents Dan J. and Lennie Omar King Baker and sister Gerri B. King. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stacy West and Dr. Jacob King will officiate the services. Active pallbearers will be the employees of Laney Farms - Leon Warren, Brice Ponder, Shane Slocumb, Jay Mims, Sidney Walker, Fontaine Jones and Edward Fuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Hinsonton Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
