Ronnie Hayes

Funeral services for Ronnie Hayes, 71, of Camilla will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Poitevint and Keith Hayes will officiate and a private family interment will be held at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Hayes, Tyler Hayes, Tas Strickland, Garrett Strickland, Tyler Parker and Kane Johnson. Born October 7, 1954 in Camilla he was the son of the late Floyd Richmond Hayes and Martha Jane Darley Williams of Camilla who survives. He was a member of Pinecliff Baptist Church in Camilla. Ronnie dedicated his life to serving others and his community. Over the years, he served faithfully as a paramedic, law enforcement officer, and corrections officer—roles that reflected his deep commitment to helping and protecting those around him. His work ethic, sense of duty, and willingness to serve were hallmarks of his life. Ronnie will be remembered for his service, his dedication to family, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. Survivors include his mother Martha Williams of Camilla; he was a proud father to five children, Derick Hayes (Candy) of Camilla; Charles Hayes (Jennifer) of Gurley, AL; Chris Hayes (Jennifer) of Huntsville, AL; two daughters, Niki Hayes of Fitzgerald; and Lorri Strickland (Tim) of Statesboro; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Randy Hayes (Laurette) of Camilla; Terry Hayes (Christina) of Camilla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00-11-00AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Pinecliff Baptist Church.
