Grady D. Martin

Grady Daniel Martin, 92, of Camilla passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Rev. David Pickering will officiate.  Born September 3, 1933 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late James Jacklon and Minnie Lee Curles Martin.  He served in the US Navy, was of the Baptist faith and worked all his life as a self-employed farmer. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Diane Martin Beckham of Thomasville, Janet Denise Martin-Leyse (Michael) of Apalachicola, Florida, and James Grady Martin of Camilla; four grandchildren Amanda Lynne Watts (Mathew) of Leesburg, Kristy Renee' Shuman (Tony) of Thomasville, Katie Danielle Beckham of Thomasville, and Kaleb Martin of Warner Robins; five great grandchildren Jacob Mathew Watts, Alyssa Lark Watts, and Luke Charles Watts all of Leesburg, Autumn Renee' Rich and Samuel Lee Shuman both of Thomasville; and one brother James Frederick "Freddie" Martin (Larkie) of Camilla.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nettie Merle Willis Martin, and siblings Leland Martin, Mary Alice Butler, Charlotte Satey, Mable Hazel, Janice Gummel and Sylvia Tyson.  The family will visit with friends and family one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.
