Funeral services for Homer Pierce Tyson, Sr., 78, of Pelham will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Born May 5, 1948 in Pelham he was the son of the late Harry and Cynthia Futch Tyson. Mr Tyson passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Archbold Inpatient Hospice in Thomasville. He was married to Rebecca Lesueur Tyson of Pelham who survives. He was the head sales manager for Flowers Baking Company for 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Tyson of Pelham; children, Homer Tyson, Jr. (Ronnette) and Rena Burdett (Steve); grandchildren, Trey Homer Tyson, III (Lizzie), Travis Tyson (Taylor), Ashley Tyson, Kelly and Seth Harrison, Brian and Alisha Burdett; and Wendy and Tim Harsey; 15 great grandchildren and siblings, Hershcel, Marsha, Nancy and Huey. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Red, Mary, Cricket, Sylvia, Gayle and Buddy. Memorial donations may be made to Childrens Orphanage or the Humane Society.
