Iris Alday

Iris Jacobs Alday, 83, of Camilla passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at her residence. Born September 30, 1942 in Albany she was the daughter of the late Bonds Lee and Stella Viola Jewell Jacobs. She was married to Lon Jerry Alday who preceded her in death. Mrs. Alday was retired from the Baker County Bank. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Alday Cumbess of Camilla; grandchildren, Jordan T. Daniels (Matt) of Quitman, Nikki W. Howell (Thomas) of Douglas, Courtney W. Joestgen (Adam) of Valdosta 8 great grandchildren and a brother, Barney (Jay) Jacobs, She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cheryl Alday Carr, two sisters, Erlene Jacobs and Ernestine Cooper and brother, Otis Jacobs. A private family service will be held.
