Funeral services for Jack E. Glausier, 95, of Camilla, GA will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00AM at Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Sylvester. Mr. Glausier peacefully passed away on November 26, 2023 at the Archbold Living-Pelham nursing home after a long happy life. Jack was born on July 17, 1928 in Sale City, GA and was the son of the late Fred Glausier, Sr. and Norma Stewart Glausier. Jack was a master carpenter and worked several years for his brother-in-law in that profession. One of Jack’s fondest memories was building ocean front houses in Marathon in the Florida Keys, which he enjoyed immensely. Jack retired after working with Culpepper and Edwards Construction Company for more than 40 years. After retirement he restricted his building talents to his work shop at home and exercised his “green thumb” in the garden. Jack was fond of dancing and he and his wife, Lois danced at every opportunity all around South GA. Their favorite location every Saturday night was the Pelham Country Jamboree. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife of 53 years, Yuba Jean Glausier, a son Michael Glausier, brothers Fred Glausier, Jr., Groover Glausier, and sisters, Lillian Rackley, Esther Hatcher and Evelyn McKenzie. He is survived by his current wife of 18 years, Lois Glausier, daughters, Vickie Cravey, Norma Sue Jerge (Peter), and Phyllis Zito (AL), son, Jackie Glausier (Becky), stepdaughter, Judy Feros (Angelo) and stepson, Randall Barfield (Beth). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Providence Primitive Baptist Church, Worth County, Sylvester, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday.
