Memorial services for Mr. Jack C. Hurst, 69, of Meigs will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 4:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00PM-4:00PM. The family would like for friends to share in the service by sharing your memories during the service. Mr. Hurst passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. Born December 12, 1945 in Meigs, he was the son of the late Carl B. Hurst and Leah Shirah Hurst. He was self-employed building contractor and an underground cable contractor for Southen Bell Telephone Company. On April 14, 1995 in Sanford, Florida, he married Corine Dean Hurst. Survivors include his wife, Corine D. Hurst of Meigs; daughter, Michele Hurst and Butch Hudson of Ochlocknee; granddaughter, Summer Hurst of Ochlocknee; grandson, C.J. Kelley of Meigs; great-grandchildren Marisa Morey and Rylee Hurst of Ochlocknee; sisters, Jeanette McGuire of Pelham, Nezzie Law of Easley, South Carolina, Eloise Draughon of Meigs, Alene Barfield of Meigs; brothers, Judson Hurst of Meigs, Layborn Hurst of Meigs; sister-in-law, Juanita Kuipers of Thomasville; nephew, Randy Kilgore of Thomasville; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Bradford Hurst, Warner Nesmith, Shane Mote, Carl Sibdell, W.C. Maloy, Paul Barrett, Claxton Hurst, Randy and Carla Brinkley, and Buddy Stanaland for their love and friendshipthey shared with Jack. Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O.
