Jacqueline "Jackie" Chason

Funeral services for Jacqueline “Jackie” Chason, 78, of Pelham will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Pelham.  Rev Nathan Fowler and Brother Jimmy Smith officiating.  Born June 14, 1940 in Cairo, Ga, she was the daughter of late John Russell and Lillie Belle Horne Jones. Mrs. Chason passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Clearwater, FL. Mrs. Chason was a member of Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church.  She was married for 52 years to the late Alonza Garrette Chason, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Sheffield (Chris) of Clearwater, FL; granddaughters C J Sheffield of Orlando, FL, and Caitlin Sheffield of Clearwater, FL; sister Mary Poppell (Bill) of Concord, FL; Aunt Elizabeth Davis of Thomasville, GA;  brother-in-laws Wallace Hancock of Whigham, GA and Jerome (Peggy) Chason of Pelham, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers will be her nephews Kevin Hancock, Bill Gordon, Chad Gordon, Blake Hancock, Keith Larson, Trent Larson, Jason Vinson and Ridge Vinson.  In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760 or the Hospice of your choice.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service.
