  Funeral services for James Gordon Hornsby, 75, of Stockbridge will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Lynn Roberts will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barnes, Tim Johnson, Ronnie Winn, Kyle Cox, Mike Haney and Scotty Daughtry. Born March 14, 1948 in Stockbridge, Mr. Hornsby passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Piedmont-Henry Hospital. He was married to Sheila Dennise Brinson Hornsby who preceded him in death on March 14, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his stepson, Joseph St. John. He was a self employed truck driver and former Atlanta Police Officer. He is survived by his friends, Steve Young (Wanda), Jayla Young, Megan Cox, Ronnie Barnes, Rhonda Barnes, Karter Barnes, Lisa Johnson, Tim Johnson, Ronnie Winn and Shannon Little.
