Janet Howell Jenkins

Janet Lee Hall Jenkins, 72, of Pelham passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at her residence. A private family graveside will be held at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born June 30, 1947 in Hazelhurst, MS, she was the daughter of the late Magnus Ray Hall and Holland Hall Reynolds. She was a retired school teacher with Pelham and Thomas County School systems and a member of Meigs United Methodist Church, Woodmen of the World, Pelham Garden Club and Pelham Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Jenkins. Survivors include a son, Robert Howell (Cheryl) of Pelham; daughter, Michelle Kearns and Fiance Len Akridge of Milford; grandchildren, Courtney Baily (Ben) of Thomasville; Hope Bentley (Alex) of Cairo and Mason Bailey (Bethany) of Bainbridge and a brother, James R. Hall (Joyce) of Rainbow City, AL, and her special friend Leon Ethridge of Pelham. Due to social distancing no public service will be held.
