A Celebration of Jeffs Life will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 at 2:00PM at Camp Pinewoods in Thomasville. A Celebration party will also be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 5:00PM at The Barn, 1197 US-19, Meigs, GA 31765. Jeffrey Carl Wilson, age 61, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. Born on June 15, 1964, Jeff lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. A lifelong construction worker, Jeff dedicated his days to building a life rooted in commitment and perseverance. Construction was his passion. He was a man who didn’t seek recognition, but instead found purpose in providing, showing up, and doing what needed to be done. His strong hands and steady presence were a constant source of comfort to those who knew him. Jeff was a laid-back soul who found his greatest joy in the simple things—going camping, spending time at the lake, and being surrounded by family and friends. Though he often kept to himself, the love he had for his family ran deep and unwavering. He would have done anything in the world for his wife, Sandy, and his daughter, Kennedy, and that love was felt in every quiet sacrifice and every moment he gave. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Wilson; daughter, Kennedy Dodson (Matthew); son, Tommy Wilson (Allie); sister, Toni Gouldbourn (Mike); sister-in-law, Wanda Cooke (Mike); brother-in-law, Keith Gilliard (Torrie); mother-in-law, Joan Gilliard; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Edna Wilson, and father-in-law, Weldon Gilliard. Jeff’s life was a testament to quiet love, steady strength, and unwavering dedication. Though he may no longer be with us, the legacy he leaves his family will be remembered for generations to come.
