Funeral services for Jewel Bowen, 95, of Pelham will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 11:00AM at Hand Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carrie Myers will officiate and interment will follow in Pelham City Cemetery. Born August 8,1919 in Sale City, Georgia she was the daughter of the late O. Howell and Adanie Gray Howell. She was married to James L. Bowen who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bowen was an interior decorator with Turners Furniture Company. Pallbearers will be Michael Broome, Jr., Ford Bowen, Clint Fountain, Reagan Bass, Chris Jones and TJ Elliott. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Melinda Bowen of Cordele; daughter and son-in-law, Adayna and Mike Broome of Pebble City; Grandchildren, Lezlie and TJ Elliott of Florence, SC; Clint and Michelle Fountain of Bon Aqua, TN; Ford Bowen of Valdosta, GA; Ashley and Josh Biron of Warner Robins, GA; Michael and Victoria Broome of Sale City, GA; Michelle and Chris Jones of Madison, FL; 11 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Hazel Danziesen of Frederick, MD and a sister-in-law, Sara Howell of Pelham. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, James Bowen, three brothers, Luther Howell, J.O. Howell, Tom Howell and three sisters, Effie Lee Oxford, Ruby Crosby and Toy Howell.
