Joanne Miller Harrison

Graveside services for Joanne Miller Harrison, 86, of Ochlocknee and her late husband Thomas (Thom) Carlton Harrison who preceded Joanne in death on November 19, 2023 will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:00AM at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born July 30, 1938 she was the daughter of the late William (Bill) Henry and Nancy Palmer Miller. Mrs. Harrison passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at her residence. She was married to Thomas Carlton Harrison who preceded her in death. They was both members of St Francis Episcopal Church in Macon and Mrs. Harrison retired from Remax Realty in Rome. Mr. Harrison was born in Orange County, FL, to Emory carlton and Kathryn Elizabeth McCollum Harrison. He received a doctorate degree and was a professor of English and author and retired from Macon State College in 2017. They are survived by her sons, Freddie Butler (Tammy) of Ochlocknee; Rabun Butler of Pelham; grandsons, Joshua Butler (Ceara); Blake Butler; Great Grandkids, Abby Jenkins, JJ Jenkins, Hannah Butler, Anthony Ordonez and Zander Pickering and a brother Walter Sealy. They are preceded in death by her parents, son Thomas I. Butler (Tommy); daughter, Patricia Lynn Butler; granddaughter, Destin A. Butler Jenkins and brother, Buddy Miller.
