Graveside services for John Marvin Sellars, Sr. (Top) 77, of Cairo will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00AM at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor DeWayne Atkinson will officiate. Jimmy Martin will be an honorary pallbearer. Born August 26, 1944 in Cairo he was the son of the late Marvin Roland (M.R.) Sellars and Eunice Kelley Sellars. Mr. Sellars passed away Monday, September 20. 2021 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was a retired truck driver of 35 years, retired heavy equipment operator for 25 years. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith and had a heart of gold and a strong love for his family and had a passion for trapping with his son-in-laws.. He was married on October 2, 1971 for 44 years to Esther Ellen O'Neil Sellars who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, John Marvin Sellars, Jr. (Beth); Lorenda Hester, Christina Bynum (John) and Darlene Barber all of Cairo; grandchildren, Austin Sellars of Cairo; Duncan, Becky and Nick Sellars all of Thomasville; Ethan Hamilton, Dana Hester and Brian Bynum all of Cairo; Kristian Bussinger of El Paso, TX; Jonathan Bynum, Brad Barber and Andy Barber all of Cairo; and three great grandchildren, Khloe Sellars, Anden Sellars and Aiden Miller (Bynum). He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, grandchild Kaydence Sellars and a sister, Josephine.
