Johnny Lee Burgess

Funeral services for Johnny Burgess, 52, of Camilla will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00AM at Union Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Doug Hall and Rev. Les Pollock will officiate and interment will be in the church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Deloach, Otis Johnson, Daniel Hurst, Phillip Pollock, Dewayne Bentley and Daniel Morrell. Born March 3, 1965 in Mitchell County he was the son of the late Cecil Wallace and Agnes Geronia Hurst Burgess. He was a truck driver for JCB Trucking. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Burgess (Michael Long) of Camilla; a brother, Danny Burgess of Pelham; and two nephews, Gavin Burgess of Pelham and Clint Burgess of Albany and two great nieces Emma and Hannah Burgess. He was preceded in death by  his parents and a brother Cecil "Skibo" Burgess. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM.
