Johnny Herndon

Johnny Lee Herndon, 68, of Pelham passed away at his home on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 
Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Wednesday, June 10. Visitation will begin at 10am then followed by the memorial service at 11am in the chapel; officiated by Reverand Mike Newsome. Interment will follow at Meigs Sunset Cemetery.

Johnny was born on Thursday January 30, 1958, in Grady County Georgia to the late Edna Sadler and Howell Herndon. He was a retired truck driver for Wiggins Trucking. He is survived by: his common law wife, Joyce Horn, his grandson JL (Becca) Horn and great grandson, Ricky Ray Horn, his stepchildren Austin Horn and Tashsa (Johnny) Williams, his sister Janice (Tim) Huffman and his brother Bobby (Michelle) Lawhorn, his nieces and nephews, Larry (Stephanie) Horne, TommieAnn (Button) Thomas, Michelle (Michael) Avery, Melissa (Jamie) Bynum, Josh (McKenzie) Herndon, Jeremy (Marlie) Herndon, Jewell Murphy, Lisa (Keith) Lashley, Timmy (Nicole) Huffman, Eric Huffman and Amy (Randy) Rathburn and a host of great nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Connie Herndon Smith, Rosa Mae Herndon, Wendy Lawhorn and his brothers, Jeff Herndon and Lavon Lawhorn.
