Funeral services for Joseph A. Curles, 79, of Pelham will be Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Watson will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Briggs, Mark Briggs, Jimmy Woods, Wayne Woods, Donnie Morrell, Scottie Morrell and Jim Morrell. Born January 8, 1939 in Cotton he was the son of the late Jim Curles, Sr. and Nellie Mae Evans Curles. Joe passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Mitchell County Hospital. He was a self-employed Carpenter and member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Terry Malloy Curles of Pelham; Children, Denise Watson (Robert) of Pelham; Chuck Curles of Spence, step-daughter, Kim Sullivan of Atlanta and a step-son, Billy Sullivan of Kennesaw; 14 grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, a brother, Eugene Bo Curles, Sr. (Dorothy) of Cotton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rita Curles; Brothers and Sisters, Jim Curles, Jr. (Buddy); Helen Harrison, Corine Burnum; Finette Hayes; and Juanita Curles; sons, Maston Curles and Joe Curles, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM.
