Joseph Lamar Wingate, III (Marr)

Joseph Lamar Wingate, III (Marr) was born on December 4, 1957 in Camilla, GA.  He was the son of the late Joe and Joyce Wingate.  Marr passed away on away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  He is survived by his daughters Sara Wingate (Wallace) and Cass Humphries and one son Joseph Wingate (Dawn); grandchildren, Aaliyah Humphries, Austin Humphries and James Wingate; sisters, Lu Wingate Clark, Stancie Wingate Frazier (Andy), Joy Wingate Mobley, and Lillibel Wingate; and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.  Marr had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.  In his prime, he loved sports, hunting and fishing. He was a proud member of the Phi Delta Tau Fraternity. The memorial service will be held at Hinstonton Baptist Church on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM.  A visitation before the service will begin at 2:00 PM.  The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
