Kenneth Hubert Waddell, 88, of Thomasville passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026 at his residence. He was born September 3, 1937 in Thomaston, GA, to Newton Herbert and Jewell Poteat Waddell. He was married to Mary Herring Waddell, who preceded him in death, for twenty-two years. Mr. Waddell served in the US Navy and was employed by the federal government with the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Mr. Waddell was always surrounded by friends and family including his children Deb (Jonathan), Cindy (June), Kenny, Tracy (Jason), Catherine (Rick) and Martha (Terry), his grandchildren Paige, Luke, James, Nicholas, Gabriel, Brooklyn, Matt, Trent, Kayla and Colby, his great-grandchildren Camyrn, Skyy, Masik, Sincere, Kai, Anatasia, Milly, and Lucas. He was also close with his In-laws Martha (Ron), and all of his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Waddell's three brothers Ronnie, Michael, and his twin Wayne all preceded him in death. In his final days he was well cared for by Martha, Terry, Jennifer, Jon, Denaye, and Cindy. He lived a full and happy life.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30am Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Cairo City Cemetery.
