Lannis Tuten

Lannis Earl Tuten, 80, of Leesburg, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Memorial services will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Rev. Lynn Roberts will officiate and honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Three Squares Diner Breakfast Club, Leesburg.  Born June 20, 1945, he was the son of the late L. L. Tuten and Ruth Burt Tuten.  Lannis served in the US Army and afterwards worked as a Forest Ranger for the Georgia Forestry Commission. Lannis was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge.  He is survived by his sister, Betty Whitston (Freddye), numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Garner (Huey), Sara Culpepper (Joel) and Elaine Kierce (Carroll) and his brother Larry Tuten (Faye).  The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
