March 1, 1951 — April 26, 2025

Pelham, GA

Services will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Larry Brinson born March 1, 1951 of Pelham Ga. A great man of God and a true servant of the Lord, entered into his eternal rest on April 26, 2025 @ 10:55 pm surrounded by his family and loved ones. Larry lived his life in full devotion to Christ, blessing countless lives with his unwavering faith, generous heart, and joyful spirit. He truly did the work of a saint, walking in humility, kindness, and love every day he was given. Larry proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Panama, where he lived out the same integrity, strength, and sense of duty that defined his entire life. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Virginia, father, Archie, Brothers Bobby, Jerry, Jimmy, and sisters Faye, Silvia. He is survived by one dear brother Wendell, his loving daughters Shannon Brinson and Lori Freeman, his cherished grandchildren Taylor Higgins (Ryan Higgins) and Hunter Owens, and his two precious great-grandchildren Carter Higgins and Cannon Higgins. As well as his life long partner and friend Margie Barfield, Michelle and Dustin Barfield who he raised as his own. Larry also leaves behind a host of friends too numerous to name, each one touched by his life in profound and lasting ways. Everywhere Larry went, he brought laughter, joy, and a touch of his good-natured craziness. His presence lit up every room. His jokes were legendary, his kindness unmatched, and his faith contagious. If you knew Larry, you loved him — it was impossible not to. He cared deeply for people, whether they were family, friends, or strangers. Yet above all, he cherished his relationship with his Heavenly Father, his “Daddy in Heaven,” as he so affectionately called Him. Larry leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His race is run, his battle won, his work complete and we rejoice knowing he is now safely home shouting the hills of Glory.
