A Zoom Memorial service for Layborn Hurst "Papa", 90, of Meigs will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 4:00PM. Mark Bauer will officiate. Born November 11, 1931 in Thomas County he was the son of the late Carl Barney and Leah Shirrah Hurst. Mr. Hurst passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his residence. He was retired from Waverly and member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Amber Larue Autrey Hurst of Meigs. Other survivors include children, Steve Hurst (Lynn); Rhonda Herndon; grandchildren, Marlena Hurst, Kristie Hurst, Greg Hurst, Shawna Baggett ( Drew), Dana Johnson (Jason), Great grandchildren, Payton Hamilton (Chance), Noah Bryan (Crimson), Olivia Hurst, Savannah Griffin, Taylor Gilbourn (Kole), Macy Wimberly (Alek), Devyn Barrett, Madison Baxley (Kirk), Caydan Johnson, Mason Baggett, Great Great Grandchildren, Ryder Barrett, Charlie Barrett, Amelia Hamilton, Stella Hamilton, Carter Pierce, Maddie Bryan, sisters, Jeanette McGuire (Alvin), Alene Barfield, Elouise Draughon and Numerous Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
