Funeral services for Roy Lester Pollock, Jr. (Les), 63, of Pelham will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00AM at Union Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Doug Hall and Rev. Ricky Pollock will officiate and interment will be in Union Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Cole, Jr, Matthew Hilliard, Jonathan Pollock, Brock Conley, Jared Conley, Dustin Thompson, Tyler Thompson and Cale Whigham. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Hinsonton Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Born February 25, 1960 in Pelham he was the son of Roy Lester Pollock, Sr. who preceded him in death and Eleanor Pollock of Pelham who survives. Mr. Pollock passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his residence. He was the former pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church in Newton and currently was pastor of Hinsonton Baptist Church. He was a rock not only for his family but anyone who needed him to be. He was a devout Christian man who believed in the power of prayer and the miracles our God performs. He was alot of things to alot of people but over all he was an amazing Christian man who touched and taught anyone he could about God. Mr Pollock was an avid member of the Masonic Lodge and loved nature. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Pollock and daughter, Leslie Pollock (Anthony Cole, Jr.) all of Pelham; his grandchildren, Abijah Pollock and Aziah Cole of Pelham; brothers and sisters, Ricky Pollock (Janet) and Nichole Hilliard (Neal) of Pelham and Deidra Conley (Scott) of Thomasville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Walter and Trudy Pollock and Carl and Emily Strickland.
