Funeral services for Lois Ellen Elrod, 87, of Pelham will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 4:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Matt Peek will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roman Humphries, Mike Snipes, Jimmy Hardin, Jamie Greene, Derrell Humphries and Rob Rogers. Born February 21, 1930 in Decatur County she was the daughter of the late Eugene Olin and Bernice Onieda Harrison Moore. Mrs. Elrod passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her residence. She was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church and retired from the Federal State Inspection Service. She was married to Lester Wayne Elrod who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Phelps of Pelham; Jana Humphries (Gary) of Pelham; her grandchildren, Shannon and Jamie Greene; Lara and Jimmy Hardin; Tamara and Mike Snipes; Roman and Cass Humphries; four Great Grandchildren, Landon and Lindsey Snipes; Aaliyah and Austin Humphries; a brother, Devane Moore; a brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Nelda Moore; sister, Karen Mills; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Lauchlin Rozier and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step mother, Merle Muggridge Moore; sisters and brother-in-laws, Theresa and Randy Atwater; and Cheryl and Franklin Bulloch and a brother-in-law, Archie Mills. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00-4:00.
