Lynda Ogletree Layton

Services for Lynda M. Ogletree Layton, 66, will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Hinsonton Baptist Church. The Rev. Stacy West will officiate. Born May 31, 1948 in Climax Georgia she was the daughter of Betty Ogletree, She was a park Ranger for the state of Florida. She was very influential for saving the Manatees, and Chairman of the March of Dimes. Mrs. Layton was also the head of the Humane Society and cut a record in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opra. She is survived by her son, Johnathan Todd Layton of Pelham. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hinsonton Baptist Church.
