Funeral services for Mecie Hancock Carroll Dillon, 92, of Pelham, will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Pelham, GA. Mrs. Dillon passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Rev. Shelvie Summerlin will officiate. Born August 23, 1923 in Mitchell County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Calep Hancock and Lillie Mae Hathcock. Mrs. Dillon was a member of the Assembly of God in Cotton, GA. She is survived by her sons, Jerry A. Carroll (Frances) and Robert Carroll (Lawanna); daughter-in-law Sandra Carroll; grandchildren Monty Carroll, Lynn Carroll Fallin, Tammy Carroll Budd, Teresa Carroll Owens, Ronda Carroll Joiner, Shane Carroll, Kim Carroll Bentley, Sheila Register Roberts and host of great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Hiram Calep Hancock and Lillie Hathcock Hancock; husbands John Anderson Carroll and Kenneth a. Dillon; son John Isaac "J. I." Carroll; brothers Dorsey Hancock, Cecil Hancock, Oris Hancock, Abraham Hancock, and Russell Hancock; step children Louise Willis, Aileen Hancock, Lula Mae Swilley, Cecil Carroll, Oakland Carroll, and Lester Carroll. Pallbearers will be Cecil W. Hancock, Jr., Donnie Owens, Drew Budd, Dwayne Fallin, Jason Allen, Mike Roberts, Ray Joiner, and Shane Carroll. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm on Tuesday, prior to the service.
