Melvin "Steve" Stillwell, a beloved member of the Pelham community, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Willson House Hospice in Albany, Georgia, at the age of 80. Born on January 24, 1946, in Fort Valley, Georgia, Steve lived a life defined by service, love, and a commitment to family. Steve was a proud veteran who served in the United States Military, embodying the values of courage and dedication. After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career that saw him retire from Proctor and Gamble, where he contributed significantly over many years. Steve is survived by his cherished family, including his daughters, Jessie Anderson and Susan Tucker (Wayne), and his son, John Trigg (Angelia). He also took great pride in his grandchildren: Steven Anderson, Michaela Johnson (Sulli), Alan Davis, David Warren, and Chris Warren, who brought joy and laughter to his life. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Stillwell, who was his partner in life and in love. Steve is also mourned by his sister, Kim Fenn (David), and remembers his parents, Melvin and Willie C Stillwell, as well as his late brother, Bobby Stillwell. A visitation with family will be held on March 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 369 Barrow Ave SW, Pelham, Georgia. Friends and family are invited to join together to honor Steve’s life and legacy during this time of remembrance. Steve's warmth, kindness, and steadfast love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
