Michael Rogers

Michael Allen Rogers, 51, of Helena, Montana passed away Monday, June 9, 2025.Michael was born on August 14, 1973 in Jesup, Georgia to Howard L. Rogers (Don) & Carolyn Strickland Rogers of Odum, Georgia. He was a 1992 graduate of Wayne County High School and received his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He was employed as a training officer with the Montana Department of Justice and was a former police officer with the Pelham Police Department. Michael enjoyed travelling and cooking and loved living in Montana. Michael was a good-hearted person who was always willing to go above and beyond to help family and friends. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by a brother, Howard L. Rogers, Jr. (Donnie) of Madray Springs, Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer & Paul Pendarvis of St. Simons Island, Georgia; nephews, Brent Crews, Jeffrey Rogers, Michael Pendarvis, and John Parker Pendarvis; aunts and uncles, Eugenia & Paul Bozeman of Hopeful, Georgia, Larry & Vickie Rogers of Vada, Georgia, and Pat Strickland of Jesup, Georgia; several cousins; and other relatives, friends, and co-workers. A brief graveside service for Michael will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 5008 Vada Road, Climax, Georgia. Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham is in charge of arrangements.
