Michael Clay Williams, of Enoree passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Michael was born in the small town of Cotton, Georgia. His family was large with seven children on his father’s side and ten or twelve on his mother’s. The whole town of Cotton were his relatives, they grew produce, picked it and sold it. Michael joined the U.S. Army at the age of 18 and went from basic training to Air Borne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served for 22 years and obtained his college degree in Criminology before moving to South Carolina. Surviving his wife, Barbara Eddy; one daughter, Denisa Saulen; two sons, Zachary Williams and Noah Williams; two stepsons, Allan Nevins and Jack Nevins; grandchildren, Horizon Williams, Egan Shimal, Michael Saulen, Nathan Williams, Eli Williams and Nick Williams; a granddaughter, Sophia Grace Williams. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Lenwood Williams and Gertrude Harvey Williams. Services will be held at a later with burial at Harmony Church Cemetery
