Mr. James H. Brock

Memorial services for James H. Brock, 65, of Pelham will be held at 1:00PM
Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Brother
Andy Hall will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brock passed away October 17, 2014 at his residence. Honorary pallbearers
will be Peyton Phelps, Dylan Harper, Bailey Ferrell, Mary Ellis Richardson, Colton
Ferrell and Dane Worley. Born March 10, 1949 in Bainbridge he was the son of
the late Bowen Lee Brock Jr and Varnell Henderson who survives. He was married
to Jacquelin Brock who preceded him in death. Mr. Brock was a retired K-9
Sargeant with the Texas Department of Corrections. Sargeant Brock served with
the Texas Department of Corrections for over 30 years as a peace officer, High
Rider and Dog Sargeant. He received numerous awards and recognition for his
many contributions and years of dedicated service. Survivors other than his
mother include daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ellis Richardson of Grady
County and a daughter, Jodi Brock of Mitchell County; sisters and brothers-in-
laws, Janice and Carroll Middleton of Miller County and Judy and Bobby Duke of
Worth County and a brother and sister-in-law, Britt and Day Henderson of Leon
County, Fl. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Dylan and Nikki Harper,
Peyton and Brandon Phelps, Bailey Ferrell, Mary Ellis Richardson, Colton Ferrell,
and great grandchildren, Brayden Phelps and Nicholas Harper and numerous
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelin Brock
(PeeWee), his father, Bowen Lee Brock, sister, Jennie Brock and a grandson, T. J.
