Norma Harrell Davis

Services for Norman Ruth Harrell Davis, 82, Pelham, are at 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Jamerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is at Meigs Sunset Cemetery, with the Rev. Nathan Fowler officiating, assisted by the Rev. David Pickering. Pallbearers are Scott Harrell, Chris Harrell, Jason Hicks, Rusty Davis, Lamar Adams and Edwin Adams. Mrs. Davis died Friday, May 17, 2013, at her residence. She was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Ashford, Ala., a daughter of the late Harvey C. and Othell Brackin Harrell, a homemaker and part owner of Meigs Drug Store. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and married to Leon Davis, Pelham, who survives. Other survivors are a brother, Harvey R. Harrell, Campbellon, Fla.; sisters, Oma Lou Sasser, Nakina, N.C., Betty Longgrear, Panama City, Fla., Cynthia Hicks, Austell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey C. and Othell Brackin Harrell; and sisters, Madelyn Lawrence and Sally Lummus. Visitation is Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
