Preston Barfield

Preston Barfield, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.  A private graveside service was held Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 3:00PM at New Home Freewill Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Steve Poppell officiating.  Born Sunday, May 9, 1943 in Mitchell County, Preston was the son of the late Orvis Barfield and Mildred Brinson.  He was married to Rosa Sadler Barfield, who preceded him in death.  He was a self-employed carpenter.  He is survived by his children, Greg Barfield (Lisa), Daniel Barfield (Lee Ann), Michelle West (Darrell), Michael Barfield (Wendy, and Amy Rathel; grandchildren Brooke, Kayla, Mallory, Lacey, Katie, Cierra, and Brantly; great grandchildren Colt, River, Hatley, and Presley.  In addition to  his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Barfield, sister Jeanette Eubanks, and a brother Leon Barfield.
