Graveside services for Ray Eugene Thompson, 84, of Ochlocknee will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00AM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Grady County. Rev. David Pickering will officiate. Born August 6, 1940 in Pelham he was the son of the late James Cecil and Dessie Doyle Butler Thompson. Mr. Thompson passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 in Grady County. He is survived by his wife and and bestfriend for life, Janie Wright Thompson, two daughters, Angie Boatright (Robert) and Farrah Williams (James); grandchildren, Logan Boatright (Caitlin), Whitney Harris (Kyle), Laney Williams (Jones), Emily Williams, Michael Thompson (Laura) and Lacy Bradford (Jason); great grandchildren, Chapman, Koan, Zachary, Charlee, Charlotte, Anna Caitlin and Rhett; and one sister, Ann Humphries. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mike Thompson and 4 brothers, Bill, Hubert, Ralph and Johnny. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 10:00-11:00AM on Thursday.
