Raylan Burnum

Funeral services for Raylan Burnum, 11, of Pelham will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 3:00PM at Union Grove Baptist Church where he was a member. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00Pm on Tuesday at the church. Rev. Doug Hall will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Burnum, Ken Snipes, Lane Brown, Dane Frock, Will Snipes, and Swayne Burnum. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Harper, Patrick Brown, Jesse Burns and Phillip Thurman. Born July 13, 2015 in Thomasville, he was the son of Anthony Wayne and Jennifer Leeann Thurman Burnum of Pelham. Raylan passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Arthur M. Blank Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. He is survived by his parents, brother, Swayne Burnum and sister Madalyn Burnum, maternal grandparents, Chet and Leanna Howell, paternal grandparents, Ken and Sherry Harper and Dewey and Beverly Burnum, great grandparents, Vivian Thomas and Judy Snipes and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by great grandfather, Henry Snipes, Jeems Thomas and Dewayne and Cora Burnum. He was a student at Thomas County Middle School and First Baptist Church Youth Group. The family plans to receive food or gifts at Vivian Thomas's house beginning 3:00 Saturday and Sunday 5935 Ga Hwy 262N.
