Robert Lee Morrell

Funeral services for Robert Lee Morrell, 79, of Pelham will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Brown, Pastor Ernie Beckwith and Kermit Gilliard will officiate and interment will be in Union Hill Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Carroll, Logan Carroll, Andrew Cook, Jacob Kilgo, Josh Kilgo and Marcus Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Sebastian Cook, Gauge Osborn and Dylan Carroll. Born January 20, 1945 he was the son of the late Blondie and Chester Harden Morrell. Mr. Morrell passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at his residence. He was a cabinet builder for Stewart Lodges Cabinet Shop and member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Cairo. Mr. Morrell was married for 37 years to Glenda Boatwright Morrell of Pelham who survives. Other survivors include sons, James Lavell Carroll (April); Tommy Cook (Jamie); Greg Cook (Jill) all of Cairo; daughters, Amanda Kilgo of Pelham; Samantha Osborn (Dustin) of Ochlocknee; son, John Robert Morrell "Beau" of Moultrie and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and brothers and sisters, Lenwood Morrell (Judy); Josie Sculley (Buddy); Jessie Morrell (Pat); Merle Banister (Dave); and Joyce Davis (Ray). He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Candace Cook and grandsons, Joseph Kilgo and Colton Osborn.
