Robert Murrah

Mr. Robert Murrah, 78, of Pelham passed away December 20, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 22nd, at Hand Memorial United Methodist Church, Pelham. Rev. Carrie Myers will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born March 14, 1936 in Meigs, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Murrah, Sr. and Olivia Carter Murrah. He was an Industrial Specialist with the Regional Development Center, a member of Hand Memorial Methodist Church and a member of the Pelham Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife Sylvia Gwen Sellers Murrah of Pelham, a son and daughter-in-law, Carter and Connie Murrah of Americus, a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Gary Allen of Pelham, grandchildren Mitch, Seth, Macy and Sadie Murray of Americus, Brock and Lauren Allen of Pelham and a sister-in-law and her husband Virgie and Tony Heffernan. Memorial contributions may be made to Hand Memorial United Methodist Church or Pelham Rotary Club.
