Roger Ellis Barfield

Funeral services for Roger Ellis Barfield, 76, of Pelham will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Pollock and Rev. David Pickering will officiate and interment will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Palmer, David Wilson, Riley Peel, Tommy Martin, Brandon Rogers and Walker Willis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Palmer, Dusten Walker, Tyler Barfield, Colby Shiver, Aiden Davis and Ian Davis. Born November 25, 1945 in Spence he was the son of the late Allen Jackson and Hattie Lou Spence Barfield. Mr. Barfield passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his residence. He was a member of Crosspoint Church in Pelham, Worked for the City of Pelham for 29 and a half years, and worked for Mitchell County Equipment, Albany Tractor Co and Flint Equipment Company for 16 years. He was married to Jayne Rogers Barfield of Pelham who survives. Other survivors include Children, Daina Davis (Eric), Allen Barfield (Angie) all of Pelham; Ronda Shiver (Barry) of Thomasville; Sean Hendley (Kristie) of Madison; grandchildren, Tyler Barfield, Aidan Davis, Ian Davis, Jada Barfield, McKenzi Barfield, Madison Barlow all of Pelham; Nicole Clay (Thomas) of Brenham, TX; Toni Lowe of Thomasville; Allissa Janyaem (Ty) of Atlanta; Miriah Fuller (Richard) of Cairo; Dustin Hendley of Madison; and Colby Shiver of Thomasville; great grandchildren, Everleigh and Kennedy Clay of Brenham, TX and Grayson Weaver and Nation Lowe of Thomasville; Sisters, Shirley Bishop (Al) of Osteen, Fl and Mary Frances Odom of Pelham; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Teshi Nicole Barfield; sisters, Marie Gibson, Myrtle Law and Christine Ruffin; brothers, Tony Barfield, Albert Barfield and Bobby Barfield and former wife, June Trallis Barfield.
