Funeral services for Ruthie Pearl Hooks Batchelor, 86, of Camilla will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment in Fathers Home Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddie Hooks, Dewayne Batchelor, Ed Pope, Ken Craven, Joey David and Kaleb David. Born August 18, 1939 in Sale City she was the daughter of the late James T and Ruby Jarrell Hooks. She was married to George Batchelor unitl his death in 1979. Mrs. Batchelor passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at Harborview of Thomasville. She was a seamstress and owned a shop in Valdosta. She is survived by her children, Dewayne Batchelor (Carolyn), Elaine Winchester, David Batchelor (Tonya) and Brenda Davis, (Cyrus); grandchildren, Andrew Winchester (Courtney), Christina Pope (Ed), Michael Winchester, Wendy David (Joey), Jennifer Batchelor, Kaylen Dorminy (TJ), Donna Maples (Tyler) and Donald Holden; great grandchildren, Ava Pope, Zoey David, Kaleb David, Brently Maples, Sydney Maples, Kaitlyn Maples, and Liam Jackson.
