Sara Simmons

Funeral services for Sara Boatwright Simmons, 88, of Pelham will be held Monday, January 1, 2018 at 2:00PM at Springhill Christian Church. The Rev. Gordon Lunsford will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Morrell, Gary Boatwright, Benny Garrett, Van Dowdy, James Harrell and VJ Dowdy. Born February 4, 1929 in Sale City she was the daughter of the late Richard Ronald and Mary Ethel Barksdale Boatwright. Mrs. Simmons passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Garrett of Moultrie and two grandchildren, a niece, Glenda Morrell (Robert) and nephew Gary Boatwright. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Emmett Simmons. The family will receive friend from 1:00-2:00PM on Monday at Springhill Christian Church.
