Sharon Blocker, a longtime Florida resident, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on April 12, 1942, in Pelham, Georgia, to the late Ellis and Hortense Hampton. Sharon relocated to Lake County in the 1970s, where she married her husband of 46 years, Mike Blocker, now 91, and made a home together for many years.
Sharon dedicated her life to her family as a strong, devoted homemaker. She was known for her elegant beauty, joyful smile, fun-loving spirit, and loving heart. She truly brought light and laughter to those around her. Family was always at the center of her life, and she cared for them with deep love and generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Blocker of Eustis; her son, Carmon Prince and his wife Laura; her daughter, LaDonna Holmes and her husband, Henry; her daughter, Marla Rahmin and her husband, Shan; her step-daughter Sherry Tornwall and her husband, Brad; and her step-daughter Barbara Agle and her husband, Bob. She is also survived by her brother, W.R. Hampton and his wife, Frances; her brother, Rev. Herman Hampton and his wife, Peggy; and her sister, Nancy Gilliard and her husband, Wayne. Sharon’s legacy continues through her 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren, with 2 more step-great-grandchildren on the way.
Services will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis.
Sharon’s kind heart, elegance, and joyful nature will live on in the memories of all who loved her.
