Funeral services for Shelia Harvey Cannon, 86, of Camilla, will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Pelham, Georgia. Rev. Carl Stokes, Fred Johnson, Danyelle Griffin, and Angela Harvey will speak, and internment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Hunter Harvey, Blair Harvey, Eric McBee, Kelli Massey, Ronny Dudley and Robert NeSmith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Davis, Cannon Davis, Juston Harvey, Kyle Harvey, Tom Harvey, Woody Harvey, and Lincoln Humphries. Born July 21,1939 in Hopeful, Georgia, Shelia was the daughter of the late Hubert and Elaine Humphries Harvey. She was married to Richard Lee Cannon, Sr. (Ricky), who proceeded her in death. Mrs. Cannon graduated from Pelham High School and worked at the Hand Trading Company restaurant/soda shop among other jobs growing up. The family lived in Hopeful, Cairo and finally in the Mt. Olive community. When she married she moved to Jacksonville, Florida to join her husband, Ricky and worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. They had three children and upon Ricky's death she moved to Mt. Olive to be close to family. She worked as the clerk for the Mitchell County Board of Commissioners until she retired at 76. She also served on the Board at Georgia Pines. Survivors include Daughters, Vickie Cannon and Lynn Harris both of Camilla; Brother, Thomas F. Harvey of Ashville, NC; Sister, Cherry Bess of Camilla; Grandchildren, Jamie Davis and Diana Davis; Great Grandchildren, Carlie Davis Edwards, Bria Barrett, Christen Davis, Cannon Davis, Vayda Holton, and Cadence Davis. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Richard Lee Cannon, Jr. (Buddy), and siblings June H. Robertson, Hubert Harvey, Jr. (Bud), and Keith Harvey, and Jim Harvey. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:30-3:00 PM. Funeral services provided by Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home, Pelham.
