Wallace Walton

Funeral services for Dan Wallace Walton, Jr., 70, of Pelham will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Pelham.   Interment will be at Meigs Sunset Cemetery, Meigs, GA.   Rev. Matt Peek will officiate.  Born April 25, 1946, in Pelham, Mitchell County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Dan Wallace Walton, Sr. and Norma Urquhart Walton.  Mr. Walton passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.  Mr. Walton was a Deacon and member of Pelham First Baptist Church.  He served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the American Legion and the Civitan Club.  He retired as a District Sales Manager from Performance Food Group. He is survived by his wife, Sue Butler Walton; daughters Susie Pollock (Barry), Krista Lee and Jennifer Humphries (Travis); grandchildren Neal Ferrell Taylor, Jr., Parker Walton Taylor, Hunter Alan Humphries, Riley Suzanne Pollock, Dana Emily Pollock, Tyler Kevin Lee; and a sister Mary Joyce Walton.  He was preceded in death by his parents Dan Wallace Walton, Sr. and Norma Urquhart Walton.  The family will receive friends at Pelham First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Monday, prior to the service.
